AHHHHH!!! Back to reality!!
The longer my “To Do” list gets, the more depressed I get!
We had a great time and I have a lot of great stories to share with you. But for now… laundry, mail, e-mail, dishes, etc. etc. etc.
I know you are all feeling sorry for me, huh?
Have you ever stopped to think about the laundry detergent in your life? The impact of Laundry detergent on your life may be moresignificant than you think….
Consider the names of our favorite laundry products. GAIN or WISK- now don’t those names make you feel more prductive and effective as a laundry doing person? How about SURF or TIDE? I feel like I am drowning in agiant wave of cleanliness just reading the labels. And we can’t forget FAB- for fabulous- which is of course how I am sure you feel when you are loading your fourth load of smelly laundry!
Now, if these names don’t put you in a spinning state of euphoria, maybe the dryer will warm your soul. BOUNCE! Now that can make a tired woman perky and add a snap to your step! Or if you’re the more tender type, there is always SNUGGLE! There is not an emotional need left uncinsidered by those marketing gurus is there?
You know as well as I do the names on these products mean Nothing if the stuff won’t clean or soften! These products only gain a reputation when they do what they were made to do.
Now from soap to spiritual! If the name Christian is to mean something to the world, it must represent something that works! When we bear the name Christian we are to love like Christ loves, forgive as Christ forgives, and serve as Christ serves. Oh, I know we are flawed, working out our salvation, forgiven sinners and so on, but let’s face it… people get dirty and they are looking for someone to help them get clean. Someone who can point them to the source that will help them BOUNCE back and GAIN more than they lost. Christ is that source- He can take sin the color of scarlet and wash it white as snow. Since He has clothed us with His righteousness, it is HIS name that we wear. Let’s live in such a way that when they unbelievers of th eworld see us they can’t help but say, “that woman/man wears it well”!

I am not sure where this week has gone. It has been a whirlwind that is for sure.I did get several things checked off my to do list. Two days of work, a Fellowship of Christian Athletes awards banquet with some great friends, new windows in my house, preparing for todays MOPS meeting and actually speaking at today’s meeting, watching a friends little girl, small group girls night at Barnes and Noble and Chick Filet and now blogging.
What a week. Well, actually it has only been four days.

The longer I live the more I realizethe impact of attitude on my life. Attitude, to me, is more important than fact, it is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think, say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill, It will make or break a company, a church or a home. The remarkable thing is that we have a choice regarding the attitude we will embrace everyday. We cannot change our past. We can not change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string that we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you. We are in charge of our attitude.

Lord, show me when to confront someone about their behavior, and when to just be silent and pray for them. Help me to do my part, and to let You do Yours. When I’m tempted to hold anything against anyone, help me to forgive them quickly and thoroughly. Thoughts of a mother

When God places in a mother’s arms
A bundle, soft and sweet,
He entrusts her with the greatest mission
She will ever meet.
Shaping children is not easy;
It will never be a breeze.
I have often thought He blesses us
To keep us on our knees.
Shaping all that comes pre-packaged
Is a chore with great demands—
Yet He gives us all the help HE can:
His guidance, love and hands.
Ever precious little gift to us
Is simply but a loan;
We cuddle, guide and motivate
A child who’s not our own.
One day, we’ll stand before Him;
Al our children He’ll reclaim.
How I pray each child is better
Than he was the day he came!
Encouraging schoolchildren to experiment with oral sex could prove the most effective way of curbing teenage pregnancy rates, a government study has found.
Have you ever stood before the mountains or before the sun setting over the ocean and felt as though this is what it was meant to be like? I have to wonder what the Garden of Eden was like before the fall of man? Probably the most beautiful and peaceful place. When I stand at the edge of the ocean and look out over the sea, I am sure that God is present and that I was created for more than this.
